CoSMEU is an Italian association of EM resident doctors that represents Emergency Medicine, promotes educational improvement among EM Italian resident doctors and works as a network between them. Our annual meeting will be on May 26 and 27. It will be a two-day congress with sessions about resuscitation in the ER, pre-hospital care, simulation in advanced life support, and critical analysis of scientific papers. There will also be a panel discussion with members of other medical associations about the critical aspects of working as an EM doctor nowadays in Italy.

The EUSEM representative Basak Yilmaz, Chair of the Young Emergency Medicine Doctors section, will present the theme of 2022 EM Day "We take care of you, please take care of us" to the participants of our congress in a 10-15 video message. 

After the video there will be a session with members of other Italian medical associations

1. SIMEU, an EM Italian Medical society;
2. SIGM, an Italian young doctors' society;
3. Federspecializzandi, a trainee doctors' society;
4. Chi si cura di te, a health professionists' society

discussing about the condition of working in the Emergency Department nowadays in Italy, problems and perspectives for the health professionals and thinking to possible solutions to work on together. The Emergency Medicine in Italy has always had troubles with lack of staff, low level educational programmes for young doctors, low consideration of the ED department from inside and outside of the hospital, and currently the picture has got even worse. We intend to unite and maybe think together about solutions for our institutions.
