We are supporting EM Day from Poland.
This is specially important for us right now – because we are faced with a diminishing value of emergency physicians and emergency nurses specialities within the health care system. This is mostly due to very unfortunate political turbulences and incompetent health care policy makers. In result, the physicians and nurses specialities in emergency medicine are losing previous popularity.
Because we consistently do not have enough interested people in emergency medicine, non-specialist doctors replace the EM-specialists in emergency care. This has consequences for patients in emergency situations. So, a strong international campaign for emergency medicine should support the fight of our Society.
