ARTICLE 1 - ORGANISER

EUSEM having its office at: Antwerpsesteenweg 124 – 2630 Aartselaar, registered at the junction bank of companies under the following number: 518.964.549, organises this contest without any obligation of purchase for the participants. EUSEM is designated hereafter by the words "the organiser" or "EUSEM". The contest starts on 20-12-2018 and is ongoing until the organiser chooses to end it. These conditions describe the contest organisation and stipulate the rules of participation.

ARTICLE 2 - PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST

The contest is open to all natural people.

Participation in this contest is by sharing a photograph or video of Emergency medical situation 
Minors can't participate in the contest. The organiser reserves the right at all times to ask for a confirmation in writing and to exclude minors, immediately or in a determined period.

ARTICLE 3 - CONTEST MECHANISM

To participate validly, the participant has to send an original high-res photograph (at least 300 dpi) or video of an emergency medical care live situation to This email address is being protected from spambots. If the photograph or video contains subjects (human or otherwise), the participant will have the responsibility to ensure that all permission to publish the photograph has been obtained from the subjects. Should there arise a situation, legally or otherwise, due to the use of a photograph or video, the participant will accept full responsibility to solve the situation without EUSEM support or compensation, either towards the participant or the subject. 
By submitting the photograph and/or video to EUSEM, the participant gives EUSEM the full rights to the photograph and/or video. The photograph and/or video can be used for other EUSEM activities or campaigns.
To be eligible to win the prize provided by EUSEM, the participant needs to respond to EUSEM questions when contacted regarding the photograph or video. 
Each participant can send in as many photographs or videos as he/she wishes.

ARTICLE 4 - THE WINNER

The winners will be the persons whose photograph or video is published in the EM Day campaign. Winners will be chosen by a panel of members from EUSEM. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the winning entry.

ARTICLE 5 - PRIZE

The winners will get a free registration to the EUSEM 2019 congress in Prague. The prize (the entirety of the prize or one of its components) cannot be exchanged for cash or any other prize, and cannot be given to someone else.

ARTICLE 6 - REGULATIONS AND ACCEPTANCE

The simple fact of participating in the contest implicates the unconditional acceptance of these regulations.

ARTICLE 7 - INTERPRETATION AND MAILING

Any dispute concerning the interpretation of the present contest regulations, as well as any unforeseen situation by these regulations will be decided by an internal jury, established by the organiser. 
Except for any case considered in Article 4, the organiser will not answer to any written, telephone or oral question, concerning the interpretation or the application of the present contest regulations, the sequence of the contest or about the list of participants or winners.

ARTICLE 8 - VERIFICATION OF COMPLIANCE WITH THE CONTEST RULES

The winners and the participants agree that the organiser will be able to verify their identity or their place of residence as communicated to the organiser. Any false, incomplete or incorrect information linked to the identity or the address (e-mail or postal) will result in the elimination of the participant.

ARTICLE 9 - RESPONSIBILITY

The organiser reserves the right to postpone, modify or cancel the contest in case of force majeure or for any other reason beyond control of the organiser (for example a technical incident linked to a computer system failure, fraudulent access to the computer system, system bugs, interruptions or delays of telecommunication networks, but not only limiting to that). In a similar way, the organiser cannot be held responsible for problems that are inherent to the transmission of electronic data preventing participants to take part in the contest or to participate correctly in the contest. Moreover, the organiser declines all responsibilities for any damage of any kind that could arise after the price attribution. Among other possibilities, the organiser declines all responsibilities for errors linked to faulty prizes.

ARTICLE 10 - PROTECTION OF PRIVATE LIFE

The organiser acts in accordance with Belgian legislation on the private life protection. Participants' personal data gathered during the contest will be dealt responsibly by the organiser. By taking part in the contest, the participant authorises the recording of his/her personal data, obtained by the contest, into the organiser's folders. This data will serve for the management of the contest and for the identification of the winner. 
In accordance with the law, the participant possesses the right to control, modify, cancel his/her data. The participant who requests the cancellation of his/her data during the contest period accepts the automatic suspension of his/her participation knowing that, without logging, it is not possible to appear in the list of participants.

ARTICLE 11 - VALIDITY

If, for any reason, an article of the present regulations proves to be illegal, invalid or inapplicable, this article will be considered separately and will not influence the validity of the other conditions. The conditions ruled out will have to be interpreted and/or replaced by valid conditions which aim and effects are similar or else equivalent or closest to the conditions aimed for by the original provision.

ARTICLE 12 - LAWS APPLICABLE AND LEGAL JURISDICTION

The present regulations of the contest are governed by the Belgian law, without regard about the conflict rules of the law. The participant accepts that all court actions resulting from his/her participation to the contest or concerning these contest regulations will be of the exclusive competence of the Antwerp Trial (Belgium) and he/she accepts to refer to the jurisdiction of such court of law for the purpose of such action.
