Each country should pursue these goals

  • Place emergency medicine and emergency medical care on the development agenda.
  • Ensure that sufficient facilities, like pre-hospital dispatch centers, ambulances, helicopters and other means, in hospital Emergency Departments all staffed with well-trained personnel are available for the resuscitation, stabilization and initial management of all patients in an urgent, emergent and critical clinical condition.
  • Support the implementation of international standards of care and curricula for emergency medicine specialists and the other personnel to improve the quality of care in emergency for all people throughout the world.
  • Mobilize stakeholders to ensure that strategies are put in place to build network and policies for centralization, appropriateness and standards for the care of major emergencies, like trauma, cardiac attack, stroke and sepsis, are granted everywhere.
