“Why I Chose the Chaos”

Basically as a previous general surgeon I found myself is a big fan of Emergency Department, So I have Board certification (FHCMS/EM and MRCEM(London) . my last duty as an specialist Emergency Physician we faced 67 multi casualty victim of injured fans suffering from various injuries and riot gas exposures after clashes between the fans of 2 football teams while It was a quiet night when everything changed. So many aggressive critical patient, make a challenging personal experience, and defining that moment only can be understand from the point of view of Emergency Medicine personnel In that instant, I knew emergency medicine wasn’t just a career—it was a calling.”
For those drawn by a patient: “I’ll never forget so many [patient’s story regardless of the age gender and different mechanism of presentation . Their fear showed me the raw humanity of this work—the privilege of being someone’s lifeline.”
For those who thrive in the chaos: “There’s no other place where the unpredictability ,the teamwork and the immediacy fuels me like this. Every shift is a reminder: we’re the ones who stand between life and the unthinkable.”
“This is emergency medicine: no warnings, no second chances. We’re there for the worst days of people’s lives—and yet, it’s where I’ve seen the best of humanity. Because in the end, it’s not just about medicine. It’s about showing up, no matter what.”
